what is the club level like for the wilderness lodge? I've been there before and it's really nice but I've never been on club level.

The rooms are exactly the same, except they are dormer rooms so the ceilings are higher. There is a DVD player and 2 bathrobes in the closet. The food/drink area is very small; the tables are located outside the lounge, along the hallway (you can see them if you look up when you are in the lobby.) The concierge desk is located next to the elevator.

A continental breakfast is served in the morning. Snacks (pretzels, Goldfish, cookies) are offered throughout the day. There are appetizers that change nightly from 5-7 pm along with beer and wine. Dessert and cordials are from 8-10 pm.

Breakfast is enough to satisfy and while a light dinner can be made from the evening appetizers, hoarding the appetizers is impolite to others, as the offerings are not limitless.

Of course. I wasn't thinking that at all!! Please do not think that.

What I was saying is that it seems like there's a lot of snacky food you can have. So instead of having a few big meals a day (being on the dining plan). A person can snack when they are around the hotel and then maybe not have to eat at a buffet, or even have to purchase a dining plan and instead merely dine when hungry.

I'd say you can definitely be satisfied after breakfast. You will DEFINITELY need lunch everyday. The afternoon snacks are just that -snacks. Gummy bears, potato chips, I think trail mix, gold fish, cookies, etc. Dinner, depending on how hungry you are and if you like the offerings that particular night... They have snacking things such as veggie platter, turkey roll ups, peanut butter and jelly shooters...etc. They also offer soups, fresh tomato & mozzarella, chicken skewers, etc. We have eaten there before heading back to the parks, and most times ended up at a QS to grab a little something else to eat or get snacks once in the park. Definitely depends on you. We love WL CL and will be back there again this November. Good luck deciding!

You worded it perfectly. That's what I was thinking. Thank you, I'm at a loss for words today...

About six years ago, I splurged for a few nights, and stayed on the club level at WL. What I liked the best about the experience was the convenience of it all. It was nice walking down the hallway in the mornings, to a continental breakfast, without waiting in lines with the crowds at the regular restaurants in the hotel.

If I wasn't at a park in the afternoon, it was pleasant to enjoy some snacks from the lounge. The evening appetizers were very tasty, but I wouldn't consider them a full meal replacement. (And, as @Tuvalu mentioned in his post, the appetizers are just that--appetizers, and not a dinner. I did notice one guest who cleaned out a chafing dish and piled up the food on his plate; that wasn't exactly gracious to the other guests, I thought.) The lounge also offered some nice cordials, wines and desserts in the evening as well.

The other thing I liked about the club level was that you were on the top floor of the hotel. (Sometimes, hotels can be noisy, and it's nice if you can get a room on the top floor.) Lastly, I really liked the view from that level down to the lobby. Seeing the totem poles from the top down to the lobby floor level was another unique perspective. :)

We stay at WL CL a couple years ago...absolutely loved it! Very convenient... and my husband and son in law enjoyed just being able to grab a beer in the evening..sit over looking the lobby and relaxing. I like the breakfast set up - we are not big on breakfast food so it worked out great..:)

LOL That reminds me of the scene from You've Got Mail when Tom Hanks is taking all the caviar garnish. LOL I would probably have mentioned it but I am the person who would do that. ;)
