We stayed there for five nights in February. We had a car and were glad we did. The only time we used Disney transportation was to get to the Magic Kingdom, and it required quite a bit of time and effort.
The cabins have a lot of space, but the beds are only doubles as opposed to the other Deluxe resorts that have queen sized. When the murphy bed is down in the living room area it's hard to get around - even to get into bed there's just like 3" of space between the bed and the couch.
We don't like to cook on vacation so having a kitchen wasn't a big deal for us, though having a full sized fridge was nice.
We were there in a relatively cool season so did not use the pools, but they seemed pretty basic, no themeing.
I don't think we'll stay there again, for the price we could get something nicer and more convenient. But it was fun to do it once.
