When is transportation offered from resorts to WWoS?

It says online it's offered every day from a few resorts from 5-11, and others when there are events. Aren't there always events at WWoS? Is a bus ever offered from say Boardwalk to WWoS for any events? Pop Warner, cheerleading, college basketball, etc.

DHS is where we got the bus to and from last time I was @ WWOS for the now defunct ESPN weekend, limited schedule though.

I was able to take a bus from Pop and CBR for my nieces field hockey events. There was a folding sign sitting outside on the curb letting us know where the bus stop was.

Buses only run during events, every 30 minutes from All-Star, Pop Century, and Caribbean. Those are the resorts that the assorted teams and their families usually stay at. I suppose other routes could be added if the circumstance required it but I've never heard of one to Boardwalk. There are non-event days where it's a ghost town and there wouldn't be any reason to go there.

It's pretty much just the resorts @fugawe09 mentioned, and DHS. If any large event warrants additional transportation (See most runDisney events) it will be specific to the event and run only for that time. While it may be open year round, if there isn't an event going on, there really isn't much to see besides a whole bunch of different empty sporting venues.

Thanks! So I get the transportation for kids events, a la cheerleading, softball, etc.

But how does it work for big events like when the Braves have Spring Training Games and the college bball tournament Orlando Classic (formerly Old Spice Classic)?

Well, scratch my comment about the DHS bus, sounds like that is no more. According to this -> https://www.espnwwos.com/complex/services/guest-info/ (Guessing this is what you read)

All guests are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and other event competition venues unless special transportation has been arranged specifically for your event.

Bus transportation to ESPN Wide World of Sports is available from Disney's All-Star Sports Resorts, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort on a limited schedule:

Thursday - Monday 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

These buses will also run when events are taking place at the sports complex based on the following schedule:

One (1) hour prior to sports complex opening until 11:00 p.m. or sports complex close, whichever is later.

During the scheduled operating hours, buses from Disney's All-Star Sports Resorts, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort to ESPN Wide World of Sports will arrive at the sports complex on the hour and ½ hour.

I'd wager they don't expect that many people to stay on property for spring training games or college basketball that don't have other transportation already arranged. And I'd hate to say it, but the turnout for "big" events like that is probably smaller than for some of the youth tournaments. In 2014, Braves games averaged about 7,300 per. The Pop Warner championships brings in something like 70 football teams, and 300 cheerleading groups. I've seen average team size to be about 45 per, so thats well over 3,000 people just on the football teams, never mind coaches and family. Plus however many cheerleaders that works out to be.
