Hi All,

Can someone please give me a quick description on what exactly is at these 2 locations as all the brochures I look at, don't really tell me much

Disney Springs is essentially a very large strip mall filled with stores, a multi-plex, restaurants, bars with some steeetmosphere mixed in. It is a great place to kill a few hours shopping, eating and listening to some great music or maybe catching a movie.

Wide World of Sports is a sports complex with an indoor arena, baseball fields, foot ball fields, track and filed space, etc along side a single shop and restaurant. Most people have zero reason to go here unless you are attending an event (cheer leading, spring training, run Disney, etc) held there.

Ok, so Springs is more of an evening thing? I put that on my plan as a day out of our trip.....

WWOS isn't either??

Pretty much.

If you want to avoid the thickest crowds at Disney Springs, getting there around 11 AM is a good plan, but the place does have more life in the evening.

For 90% of the people going to WDW, WWOS might as well not exist. Sure you could grab lunch there or hit the gift shop, but there are a million better places in WDW to do that. The only real reason to go to WWOS is if you are attending an event held there.

We usually go to Disney Springs mid afternoon, do some shopping, eat dinner, sometimes followed by ice cream and then leave.

A recent November trip we timed it to walk through the Christmas trees.

So my 7yr old would probably prefer a day at a park or water park rather than Disney Springs?
Odds are they would.

A good thing to do is split the day up between the water park and Disney Springs. Even if you stay at a water park until close, you still would have plenty of time to hit some of the shops and grab dinner at Disney Springs.
