Wide Open Spaces...

Is it me, or does it look like the area from the back of the the Carousel to the start of the Castle Wall entry and I guess off to the sides looks like a LOTT of empty open space?

Maybe it needs to be there to swallow up people, or I'm just used to seeing Dumbo, but most of the pictures I've seen makes it look REALLY open and like a big ol' hunking slab of concrete.

No, it's not you.

I was walking through Fantasyland last week, and thought that the space just seems disproportionately large relative to the rest of the land and the park. I get the whole idea of the "blessing of size" -- and generally prefer that my parks be more spacious than cramped -- but that part of the FL courtyard just feels overly empty.

On the other hand, it's not nearly large enough to fit any future attraction of any consequence. I guess they could end up putting in a permanent food or merchandise kiosk there, though...

Thats what I thought first time I saw pictures of the area after the walls came down.

It will probably get taken over by strollers, but really it might be better for them to stash them there than where they currently hold them. I'd really rather they take them underground and have a stroller valet type of thing instead though :p

Dont give them any ideas! They'll start charging for that service as well. It'll all be part of an RFID initiative, tied directly into your bank account, and charge a metered rate in 15 minute increments, plus tip for the valet!

Not my problem :p

Really though, they should add some food carts or something there. It might not look as bad in person, but in the pictures I have seen it almost looks abandoned.

Yeah, when they put those strollers between Peter Pan and IASW it is like a NIGHTMARE getting in between there in the middle of the day. Blegh.

There used to be some themed merch carts in front of Pinnochio's Village Haus....I'm assuming (hoping) that there will be a few of those in the area. I agree that it is a rather large plot of lightly themed concrete right now. Even a few planters would go a long way in breaking up the space, but looking at the concept art, the area appears to be destined for nothingness. I'm sure the Imagineers are thinking the same things we are at this point. Let's hope something goes into that area when the Fantasyland makeover is complete.

Completely agree there is way too much space. They'll fill it with something no doubt when they start opening up the expansion. Little carts or a PIN TRADING STATION YEAH!!!

I kept envisioning the Kingdom Dancing Scene from Tangled...or below...the performers they hired are probably going to be more for Belle's Village than the courtyard right?
