Wi-Fi @ Disney World

Hi all,
I read sometime ago that Disney was installing Free Wi-Fi for their guests in the main lobby area of their Hotels. Does any one know where the free locations around the hotels are and is there a plan to expand it to their parks?
Thanks in advance

All Disney resorts (deluxes, moderates and values) have free wifi in rooms and common areas such as lobby and feature pool. The deluxes do have other areas such as restaurants that also have it.

No public wifi in the parks.

Actually there is free wifi in the parks if you know where to go. I'm not sure if it's meant to be free wifi for guests but it's unprotected and pretty fast. Next time you're in MK go stand in or around Philharmagic. I have always been able to get a full signal there.

There is an internet cafe for CM's below Fantasyland. I'm guessing that's where the signal is coming from.

Just got back last week. All resorts have it in the rooms and outside areas. It was very hard to use. Signal was on and off the whole time at Music Resort. Would get signed on then lose it. Best times to use it was before 7am and after 10pm. Those times never had a problem.

Last time I was there I stayed at Saratoga Springs and I had WiFi in my room. It did run pretty slow, especially at night. I have been known to upload anywhere from 100-300 pictures every night and, while it did work, sometimes I had to let it work for several hours. Still, it's much better than paying for it!

As far as I know, deluxe and mods resorts have it only at the moment.lobby's,pool area, rooms etc.
No, all the rooms have it.

But it isn't great. It can be slow and frequently kicks off.

I wouldn't count on it working. If working Internet is something you require, be prepared to supply it yourself.

At POP the signal was really hit or miss. We could get a pretty strong signal in the lobby, enough that we were able to Facetime with family back home and show them around the resort a little bit. But once we got into the room the signal was pretty unremarkable most of the time.

Used it at Coronado and Wilderness in March. Spotty at Coronado but worked great at Wilderness.

Used it at Caribbean and POR in May. Worked great at both places.

You're not going to set any records or stream movies with it, but you can upload pics to your online accounts....it'll just take a while. But hey, it's FREE!!!!!!!
