Why/when did they change the music at the beginning of Pirates?

Just watching old videos of rides on Youtube. As usual there is the rivalry between Disneyland and Disney World as to the difference in each Pirate ride. But one thing struck me, the music at the beginning in WDW's version has changed. An old video from 2009 I noticed just after the drop there is the normal "Pirates theme" playing softly in the background ("Yo-ho"). Ditto at Disneyland. Last time I was there and as per a 2017 video still does.

But a current ride on the WDW Pirates has different music at the beginning. Why is that? The mood feels different that way. When did this happen?

Its the movie soundtrack, now, from what I recall from my last visit. It isn't as bad as you want to imagine it, but it is really jarring to a person who is a lifelong fan.

Once again, the average WDW park goer wants the ride to more closely mirror the movies and the problem occurs when we, the board talkin', memory havin' super fans see this as ruining their childhood memories.

That's too bad, it really does set the mood with the older music. That's the thing with Disneyland, the locals in Anaheim seem to put enough pressure on them to keep things the way they like it. In WDW people might come once in their lifetime.
