Why No Express Pass for HP?

We just got back from our first trip to Universal Orlando. We had a great time, enjoyed visiting both parks. Got to ride the new Transformers in "technical rehearsal" which was impressive but we experienced technical issues at the end. But still glad we got to see it.

We stayed at RPR and had unlimited ExpressPass. My kids noticed that they didn't have EP at all for the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride. We were all sort of wondering why not. They obviously had the queue set up for it (we had to stop by guest services on our first morning there and the guy gave us an EP to the ride) but why don't they use it?

I'm sure this has been asked/discussed before but my search didn't turn up anything. So sorry if it's a repeat question.

Given its current popularity, taking EP would all but stop the standby line.

That's sort of what we were thinking but we weren't sure. It came up because we wondered if they would have it for Transformers when it opens and we were kind of doubting it, much for the same reason.

And given the nature of the attraction the queue moves rather quickly and waits have stabilized a good deal.

We rode it a few times where the line moved very quickly, but others where we sat for quite a while. But the queue is amazing - lots of details to look at and keep you entertained.
