Why I wish I were a yr younger...

Ohkay...I got suspicious about 2 weeks ago when I went into the Common Room at my school and saw this on a white board:

"Disney charecters eyes and heads are bigger to give comfort to those who look at it"

I have no clue who wrote it so I was just like oh well, whatever. Then after, uhh, forgetting to go to TaeKwonDo today rolleyes: ) I walk into the Common Room again to get my books N stuff out of my locker and see the 7th graders watching a movie on how Pirates of the Caribean was made!!! I look for the teacher and see my Language Arts teacher, Mr. Bugbee sitting there (Whose also the one who wouldn't let me N my freind Karen do our yr long project on Disney )


I was soooo mad, If I were a yr younger I would be able 2 be there watching movie on Disney World...But NO they change the 7th grade classes after I finish it!

Just what kind of teacher is he?? The nerve of him!! Some people just don't understand the importance of Disney to us. Well, maybe you will get to do another project sometime in the future on Disney!! When my daughter went on vacation during end of semester exams, her teacher let her skip the semester exam, she just had to do a report on one of the countries at EPCOT. She got an A on it and she heard that most people failed the semester exam. Now that was great timing for a vacation!!

speak about teachers

i went to piper high school in sunrise fla(suburb of ft lauderdale)
when i was in 10th grade i happened to be an office aid and had to drop a form off to a history teacher before school started.
i went there he was late i went in his room to wait and to my
amazement he had his entire room plastered in wdw pics and had concept art of epcot and mgm and other really cool rare disney theme park pics and posters and had mickey and donald
pens on his desk so i begged my asst . principle to change me into his class-due to being a disney crazed freak and he said no!!!
my high school days went down hill from there

at least you guys are lucky enough that your schools have some sort of disney influence in your classroom! when i was in high school the best they'd let me watch up here in canada was fiddler on the roof and swing kids! grrrrrr....i would've been happy if at least another class had some disney joy, but oh no! none of us did! canadian students were deprived! but thank goodness i graduated a year and a half ago, so now i can teach myself disney and watch it without a teacher forcing me to watch other foolish programming!

consider yourself lucky that your school will at least allow some people to watch disney at school!!!:animwink: :animwink: :animwink:

Isn't piper the one with that radio station?

(yes...i lived in south florida for quite a few years..went to college there n stuff before moving to o-town)

yes it sure is-piper hs on 44th street in sunrise-i lived there,plantation,and miami too .
i graduated in 89 and at the time they were the only hs in broward and dade to have a radio station-

go piper bengals- iwas gonna go to nova university in davie but joined the air force instead

He doesn't even like Disney! I really hate that teacher too. We convinced him that Disney, with all movies, parks, etc, was big enough to do a full yr project on. I know alot of you prolly won't understand this but ohkay...He told our class we hafta have our sources in my next week (Sources being how we would get info, next week actually being last week now), but he expected to have ours in by the week b4...NOT FAIR!

Just curious... which country did she pick?

I helped a lot of kids doing reports for their classes, not only for Mexico, but also looking for info about countries in the Millennium Village. I think it is a very fun way of learning about different cultures.

Which is good advice...But I am still jealuse of all my 7th grade freinds who couldn't give a..."crap"...about Disney
