Why do CM do this?

When my family goes to the MK we always go to SM and BTMR first. Why to cast members force you to take the dock along the side of the main walk? This has always buged me.

what time of the day is it. if it's mid day it's to keep you out of the way of the parade, which was a rainy day cavalcade today by the way.

if it's in the morning it may be because the streets were just presure washed and it's to wet to walk on yet.

Take the train

My family and I always do this. Just take the train next time. It leaves you right next to Splash Mountain. You don't have to fight the crowd. I think they do it to evenly disperse the crowd. If they wouldn't do it, people would go their own way, and the crowd distribution wouldn't be aesthetically pleasing, as odd as it may sound.

It's for control - allowing folks to wander the paths would lead them to attractions which haven't opened yet like Country Bears and Tiki Room, and I think during the slower parts of the year even Jungle Cruise.

Interesting, I've never had that happen to me. Then again, I'm not usually up that early But last time I was, I was making a bee-line to Bear Band, haha, not most people's 1st early morning destination to be sure!

It's for crowd control. I had to man the ropes occasionally when I was a CM at HM.
