What ever happened to the Disney Half time shows? I miss those performances, and all of the performances were made made just for the Super Bowl and never played in the same lineup ever again. That to me was something worth seeing. I can buy tickets and see a way better and longer performance of what they have at the Super Bowl these days. Although I have to say that Black Eyed Peas show was pretty good and it might inspire some great half time shows in the future. When in doubt I still miss the Disney half time shows.

I believe..

I think you are thinking about the Orange Bowl and not the Super Bowl.. just one man's opinion..

Perhaps whenever ESPN/ABC gets a Superbowl that might be a good idea. But I don't expect Disney to take part in Halftime festivities until Hell freezes over.

I can only remember 2, when MGM studios open and the game was in Miami, it was Indy stunt show themed. And the second was Millenium celebration with the tapestry of dreams and some music from RoE.

I guess you could say Disney got into the Super Bowl halftime show in 2000 when Phil Collins performed one of his Tarzan songs.

But other than that? No idea what the OP is even talking about...

Are you talking about commercials??? I don't think Disney has ever done something at a halftime show for the NFL. I'm a huge fan of the NFL and i have not seen Mickey or something else come out.. I think all of us is lost on this one.

I remember them doing the half time shows too. I think it was for several years the produced and staffed them. It wasn't a disney character show but a real stage type of show that wowed the crowds. Now they have gone to these terrable concerts.

Awesome! Thanks for posting these. Love Tapestry, my all time favorite Disney music. How 'bout the guy losing his place at around 9:22.

The one from '87 looks ancient. Man I feel old.

The show was good but the sound sucked. It wasnt them it was the audio. They held up pretty well for the issues they were having. When slash came on the stage I reacted the same way I did the first time I saw Illuminations.

Well, it couldn't be worse if they DID do Super Bowl performances. I never, ever watch them ever since Janet Jackson's mishap in 2004 I just felt that they were totally overblown and I am such a huge Football fan that I never cared much about it in the first place.

I can only pray that your joking with that line....

U2 and Prince have been the only 2 bands in the past decade that have actually put on a great halftime show in my opinion. However I refuse to say that it's simply my opinion that the black eyed peas are probably one of the top 3 most talentless acts on the planet today.

Oh talentless they are, but that one show came out pretty good. Whether they planned it or their producers did (probably did) the show was pretty good. They just have catchy lyrixes and had some hits. But when a new releace calms down the song disapears from radio. I havent heard I Got a Feeling since the super bowl and before that summer 2009. Their songs are so catchy in my opinion people get sick of them. I am not saying I like their music, but I did like that halftime show. I was more exited to see Slash play sweet child of mine. He was so good even Fergies voice didn't ruin it.
