The Old Posseidon (With Jeremy Irons' vocal talents and when the tour guide wasn't "Taylor" and was actually the other god ((sorry his name leaves me))).

The old attraction was awesome now it's good but not great... they should bring back the old attraction... Oh and re-align the lasers that open the door... now they're really out and it looks lame.

It wasn't the other God (Zeus) as the tour guide, wasn't it "The Professor" ?? But idk why they changed it... Wasn't the old one animated and now this one is live action??

I thought that the point was the "Keeper" was supposed to be a proffessor but in the end it actually turned out to be Zeus in disguise (as he dissapered at the end and went into the film I believe).

Yeah it was all animated but was far superior IMO to the show they have now.

I think it changed 2002??? I go the parks yearly so I couldn't be more specific than that because one year we went and the next it was a worse show than I remembered.

It's a shame that the extremely well themed building is rarely seen by myself, because it just isn't good enough to see every trip. I liked the first version better than the current version, but neither version is a favorite of mine. I doubt I'll go see it when I go to UO in a couple of weeks. But I'm sure I'll catch it in a future trip.....as long as it's still there then.

The building also seems HUGE where as the atraction only seems to use three rooms and the tunnel area... does the waster tunnel need a lot of space to work? That is a relatively simple idea yet incredibly effective.

The final room takes up a lot of space because it's got the three big screens plus all the rocks and fire and such...

I say they gut the building and replace the attraction with something that truely is worth being inside such an awsome building.

I mean for me, it seemed really really really anticlimatic. Especially with just the line.

I mean Dueling Dragons may have an ugly outside but the indoor line is so freakin awsome and yet Posseiden as an awsome outide only to have a boring line and a not very good at all attraction.

You're dream may come true... well atleast for this year's Halloween Horror Nights... Screamscape reported this rumor today:

Halloween Horror Nights 2005 - (6/28/05) Like clockwork each year, it seems the first bits and pieces of Halloween Horror Nights rumors always start to come in before the end of June. This latest rumor claims that Poseidon’s Fury will close down at the end of the Summer season and will be transformed into one of the park’s haunted mazes. The attraction should remained closed until sometime in November.
