Who should play the Beast?

The recent announcement of Emma Watson being cast as Belle in the upcoming live action version of Beauty and the Beast has begged the question: Who will play the beast? So what do you think?

I heard names thrown around like Phatom stage actor Ramin Karimloo, stage actor/Glee star Darren Criss, actor Gerard Butler, actor Hugh Jackman, and American Idol star Constatine Maroulis.

Some of those seem like odd choices to me but Hugh Jackman would be well cast, I think.

What say you?

I'd rather have Hugh Jackman play Gaston.
