who monitors things that are not working?

for example, Almost everytime I visit the model train set up in EPCOT at least 1 train is off the track or not working, I so much want to just jump the fence and fix it but of course you can't. So I ask WHO should catch these type of issues and get them fixed? Who's job is it to check that things are working each day. I had hoped that after the refurb of the trains this would no longer be an issue but it still is.
AND before soemone sez it "I did report it" nope not fixed.

Disney has an impeccable maintenance staff, I can gaurentee that if you saw a train off the track then it just happened before you walked up and was fixed right after you walked away.

Would this also apply to the sun in IASW that didn't work for the 15 days I was there last August? Or the swinging Pooh who just hung there (not swinging) or the queue to the PeopleMover we got to walk up instead of ride up (nice stretch for the calves, though) or all the other nonworking parts of attractions that were discussed once before on here? Or - is this only for trains. Maybe the conductors enjoyed one too many "Biers" in the Biergarten next door?

In attractions, the Attraction CM's do ride-throughs before opening, after closing and periodically through the day. If they see something that isn't working they fill out a form that goes to Maintenance. What Maintenance does with it then is up to them.

In theory, if it's a show-critical animatronic, effect or set-piece, the attraction's Lead can shut down the attraction and call for Maintenance to come out right away.

Sorry, but this just isn't always true. A couple of years ago, there was a ladder in one of the scenes of Spaceship Earth, by the big steam engines. It was really obvious - a big ol' orange Home Depot ladder. I mentioned it to several CMs at the end of the ride, and was promised that it would be taken care of. Three days later it was still there.

No one's perfect, and mistakes happen. But once they get pointed out by a guest, it's just inconceivable that it wouldn't be fixed.

Nobody - Bonuses are smaller for Disney executives if maintenance money is expended.
