Was going to post this as a reply to another post but figured it didn't necessarily fit that well there so posting it on it's own.
In short, what exactly does OLC do? I know they own Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, but do they have their hand in anything else? Were they a company specifically created to bring Disney to Japan or did they exist before and just jump on the opportunity to build a Disney park in Japan?
While we're on the topic, anyone on here know the history of Disney going to Japan? I've read that OLC wanted 50/50 spit ownership of Tokyo Disneyland but that Disney decided it would rather just take 10% royalties, but how did Disney get to Japan in the first place? Was Disney courted into building in Japan or did Disney put out feelers to see if anyone would be interested in helping it build a park in Japan?
