Monorail!

I have another voice related question.
Here in Downtown Orlando when you wait for a LYMMO bus to take you around Downtown there is an announcer that says "Next LYMMO in 5 minutes."
The same announcer also did a Monorail spiel.
But it is NOT Jack Wagner.
Anyone know who it is?

That's Richard Tufeld, one of the most-requested voices for decades.

This ridiculous automated censor on these boards will not let me type in his "real" first name.
Which is the most common nickname for "Richard".
(Same as "Richard" Van of Mary Poppins... "Pick" but replace the "P" with a "D".)

He was the voice of Disney film trailers for years and years and was heard on Disney TV shows as well.

He was even the voice of the Robot on the "Lost in Space" TV show in the 60's.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0876185/

Lots more info on Mr. Tufeld on the web, but you must type in his "real" name, not "Richard."

By the way -- the current "voice of Disney" is a guy named Mark Elliot. He is the Disney guy in the "five Guys In A Limo" clip posted above.

He also narrates part of the Disneyland episode "Man In Space".

And Jack Wagner wasn't always the "voice of Disney". In the 1950s and 60s, another man named "Richard" Wesson was that. He did the announcements for the Disney TV show, trailers for Disney movies and in the parks.

Mark Elliot is one person.

"D-ick" Tufeld is another.

There are many "voices" used at Disney...

But Tufeld is the one heard on the spot in this thread.

Good idea there, to put a dash between "D" and "ick". That's a good way to get a name on the website without being censored ridiculously. Why didn't I think of that?
