Who does the new voice for Figment?

Just wondering, who does the new voice of Figment in Journey Into Your Imagination starring Figment? It used to be Billy Barty but he passed away , does anyone know who does the new voice? Thanks.

the folks over at muppetcentral.com report that figment's new voice is none other than dave goelz, the muppet performer most famous for creating the great gonzo!

When you hear him say "next stop: imagination" it sounds to...unFigment - really "un gonzo"...

In this new ride, we hear and see a slightly different Figment. Figment '82 was all "childish delight" and wonder. Now we learn what a rascal the little fellow really is!

Got my first look at the redone attraction this week. Was surprised to find no lines.

I did enjoy the show... saw a couple places where fine-tuning might be done... but even in its present state it is a repeatable attraction once again.

btw, thanks for that insightful post, cm1988!

just curious...how does One Little Spark sound now? i know it can't sound exactly like the original version since dreamfinder and the original voice of figment sang it. is there singing in it now, or is it just music? if there is singing, who sings it?
also, must know...did they change the playground area at all? God, i hope they did! i HATED the newer playground...Image Works was SOOO much better!

Maybe Disney re-opened the ride a little bit too "light". Many people are still not aware that the attraction changed quite a lot, and won't come back...I'm sure ads will start really soon to promote the change.

Guess I'd better repeat the attraction myself, because, I'm not really sure about either answer. I believe Figment was singing each time... someone had to be... there was a lyric.

There is a lot to look at now, and more of a story line to follow, so I missed all sorts of details, and haven't even begun looking for hidden Mickey's.

As I passed through the games area, I thought a few changes were evident, although the general layout is the same and some exhibits have not changed. I agree with you... but would note that people seemed to be having a good time with these newer ones... particularly where you remotely play 'trashcan' percussion by waving your arms.
