Which marketing geniuses decided that it would be a good idea to release The Haunted Mansion movie the day before Thanksgiving?

Wouldn't it have made more sense to release it in October, that way it would tie nicely with Halloween?

Sometimes i really wonder!!:brick:

not a bad move at all releasing it at T-giving. Work the holiday season and you'll understand. This is a very wise move.

Yep, and it looks like this year's Halloween season has been crowded with more adult fare (which would challenge the kid-friendly HM movie for lead in the box office, and thus hurt its word-of-mouth). It will get better press and more kids and families on that weekend.

(Not that kids don't need more stuff at Halloween, but this particular movie could do better overall and reach broader whole-family audiences at Thanksgiving...)
