Hi all:)

So, my family and I have all our dinner reservations booked for our upcoming September trip to the World. On our first night, we have Whispering Canyon Café. Now, I have heard many mixed reviews about it but it looks like a fun experience. However, my family doesn't like extremely loud atmospheres, and we hear it fits that type. We all thought it would be fun to try once, though, and since the menu looked alright, we thought we'd try this restaurant for a more unique experience.

However, a few days ago I was reading more into the Trail's End Restaurant. The menu looks fantastic, and I know my family will love the food. Its also gotten great reviews, which is making me more skeptical about Whispering Canyon. What do you guys think about these 2 restaurants? Which one would you recommend out of the 2? Thanks for any help!

My boyfriend and I did Whispering Canyon in December. He thought the food was the best meal of the trip. For me it was ok. I was going for the atmosphere. It was quite subdued when went. Not crazy at all. I do however love Trails End. My vote would be Trails End.

I love Whispering Canyon. The food is delicious. But the reason to go there is for the experience... just wait for the person with the nerve to ask for ketchup. Although the intensity of the experience can vary depending on server. There are also a few tables in an alcove behind the main dining room that are quieter with a little less, uh, participation expected. But if you think there is a chance that your family won't "get it" then don't waste it on them.

Trails End is a buffet at dinner. Food is also very good (shares kitchen facilities with Hoop Dee Doo dinner show). It's a more subdued experience and one of those places that is kind of a hidden gem that people overlook. Keep in mind if you are driving that you can't park at the restaurant. You park at the Fort Wilderness check in area and then take a shuttle bus through the campground. But I think it's worth it.
