Okay, I've thought about it carefully, I would add a day to the trip and skip Universal thereby adding an extra day in MK.

Squish AK and DHS into the same day, if possible. I can typically see AK in 4-5 hours and DHS in the same, so if you do AK in the morning and DHS in the afternoon/evening you can get to all 4 parks PLUS still go to Universal.

This usually works pretty well, and I often recommend to time-crunched friends that they do the same.

That said, I voted Animal Kingdom. Epcot is far more fulfilling in size, offerings, and money's worth, IMO. In fact I would never make a trip to WDW without visiting Epcot.

I would agree with this. But if you are not up for it, you just have to decide if you want to be outside or inside more!

I agree that you could possibly see AK in about 4 or 5 hours. Squish DHS and AK together.

Skipping Epcot could possibly be the worst option you have there.:fork: I would actually remove it totally from your list.

Yeah, you can easily do both parks in 1 day.

Easily as long as it's not peak time. I would go do Hollywood studios from 9am-1pm and then head to AK for the rest of the day. It's importation to do it in this order though. AK usually empties out after about 2pm. I suggest this order if you want to ride toy story midway mania. You could even save a fastpass and come back to the studios after AK closes for a last ride.

I think it's in a matter of opinion, but I'd go for epcot. Partly for the closing time, another part as for more things to do, another part for better food, and another part for my personal opinion in which I don't care about AK one bit. Now something that everyone'll probably hate me on, I'll dislike AK even more with Avatar because I think it's over rated and incredibly boring. :snore:

If you have to, skip Animal Kingdom. If crowds are low, you could easily start at AK and be in the Studios by noon if you were to do both as mentioned above.

Skip AK or do AK and DHS in the same day. You shouldn't skip Epcot. It is a whole day park unlike AK is currently.

Epcot is something you shouldn't skip. You also the food & wine festival at Epcot when you are going also.

As it has been said do AK and DHS in one day. We went just after labor day and the crowds were low, and because of brunch with family, didn't get to AK till about 1 p.m, did a lot, then when it closed at 5pm , went to MK (it was open till 1 am) and did all of MK. So you should be able to do Ak if you get there by 9 am, then when done, go over to DHS. If you time it with extra hours where DHS is open later, it will work great. Crowds should be low when you go as well.

We went to Universal also, (don't hate me), I had to go see Hogsmeade, the Castle and all the Harry Potter stuff. We had watched them start building it two years ago, and I am so glad we went. It was amazing.

Have a great time.

It would be so hard to pick one park to leave out! I love them all for different reasons and would be bummed to miss any one of them. For me, it would fall in this order though -

1. MK
2. Epcot
3. DHS
4. AK

I definitely understand wanting to set aside a day for Universal. We always go to Universal/IOA too. I'd try to split a day between AK and DHS if at all possible, but that would mean paying for park hopper so it really depends on how much you want to do all 4 parks. If you can take that option, I'd be at AK at opening and do what you enjoy there, then head over to DHS for the remainder of the day and evening, preferably ending the day with Fantasmic. The only down side to that plan however is TSMM and the possibility of not getting a FP by the time you arrive. I'm not familiar with the crowd levels in Oct. but surely there would still be FP's available in early afternoon??

I voted Animal Kingdom. Really, you won't miss much. The Tree of Life and the 3D movie theater under its roots are the only things really worth seeing IMO. If the Yeti ever gets fixed in the Everest ride, then maybe there'll be two things. Otherwise, Epcot and DHS are much better choices than AK.
