Which resort table service?

You guys were so helpful in our Animal Kingdom debate. Here's another one! We have 1 table service credit remaining for our December trip and want to use it at a resort restaurant. So far we're thinking Boma, Ohana, or Kona. Which do you guys recommend or do you think another resort choice would be better? Thoughts?

Clarification ~ you cannot see MSEP from 'Ohana. You may be able to see Wishes.

If you cannot score an 'Ohana ADR (since you are going in December one may be hard to come by even at 3 months out), Boma is a delicious alternative.

No, but you can see the Water Pageant, as I recall, which runs around the same time as MSEP. That's what I was referring to. Sorry about the mixup, and thanks for clarifying.

Delicious! Different than Ohana...more a table service experience (Ohana is "all you can enjoy"...but soooo goooood!)

I liked the food better at Ohana, myself.

That probably depends on your palate and your tastes. Boma is a buffet so the advantage is that there's a lot you can choose from but if African food isn't your thing, you may want to reconsider it. Ohana is good if you like Polynesian/Hawaiian food in general. Either one works but take a glance at the menus they offer and decide what's best for you.

No question for me, Kona. I LOVE the teriyaki steak and the Kilauea torte. 'Ohana is not one of my favorites although I am in a distinct minority.

Spirit of Aloha is a 2 credit, just so you know...

It's ok. I've done it three times. I'd rather do Ohanas (very similar food, better venue).

Dinner I would pick Ohana but this close to it it is a hard ressie to come by..not impossible but not easy. We made ours right at the 180 day mark.

Breakfast we love Kona and Boma and those are a lot easier to get in your time frame now. We actually have ressies for all 3 of these in December.

What about thoughts on Artist Point?

We have been there but it was nothing we have been back for. It is a nice atmosphere though and food was decent. The Portabelo Soup is prob the best thing they had for us. It Is 2 credits though if your on the dining plan.

Spirit of Aloha is a 2 credit, just so you know...

It's ok. I've done it three times. I'd rather do Ohanas (very similar food, better venue).

Also so they know it is outside and every time we go in December a lot of the shows end up canceled due to weather. If it's below a certain temp they do not have it so if you book it you could lose out on that ressie and have a hard time getting something decent to replace your dining credits.

oh I should have specified, we made all our ressies 180 days out, but changed our mind on Rainforest Cafe which released a credit. Also, thinking about just paying for The Plaza and eating at a 2 credit hence the two recent inquiries.

The weather is a good point! Think we're gonna keep the credit on The Plaza and continue trying for an earlier Ohana since 9pm is a little late. If not, Boma it is! Thanks everyone!!

Kona. IMO by far the best quality food and service. Plus you get to remain seated and be served. There steak is wonderful.\\
