Which Park Would You Choose for One Day

If you had just one day to go to one of the four main parks, which one would you choose? For someone who has never been to Animal Kingdom, hasn't been to Epcot in about 14 years (as a 12 year old) and loves Magic Kingdom and MGM, which park would you choose and why? :)

For me it would definatley be MGM, there is so much to see and do here. it is my favorite park:sohappy:
However, for that disney magic feeling you can't beat Magic Kingdom!:king:

For classic Disney fun=MK
For romance=Epcot
For a slow pace=MGM
For a crowd=AK

So, in summary, it depends on my mood. On our last 2 quick weekend trips down we went to Epcot both times because we only had time for one park, but I missed not seeing MK the most.

Uhmmm... Sorry. You're going to have to extend that one day to 4 days. I've decided for you.

Honestly though, as Ringo above me pointed out, the 4 parks all offer very different experiences.

From your post it sounds as though you've experienced MK and MGM at least somewhat recently... If so, while they are still fun experiences, not much has changed at either in the past few years with the exception of LMAX over at the studios.

Epcot has seen a pretty significant amount of changes in the past 14 years, offering some great new experiences like Mission: Space, Soarin', and Test Track.

I would say Animal Kingdom simply because you've never even experienced it before and EE just opened there too, but then again, in 14 years Epcot will practically be a brand new park to you as well.

Tough call. I'd say it's down to AK or Epcot. If there's anyway you can do two days, do both. If you can really only do one park... it's up to you. If you enjoy animals, go with AK.

For me it is hands down the Magic Kingdom. There is nothing like spending a day there. It is "Disney" to me. All the parks are great but the Magic Kingdom is so magical.

In your situation, I'd go with Epcot, unless you want a very different theme park experiance, with a few more thrill rides, in which case I would say Animal Kingdom. You have to experiance everything, not just ur favorites, how else will you find new favorites?

like everyone has been saying, it all depends on what ure looking for. if u havent been in a while id say MK. its the quintessential disney experience. plus that and mgm i would say take the longest to do. mgm is a lot of shows though, not as many rides, but of the rides it does have 2 of them (ToT and RnR) are two of the best and most thrilling in the parks. this is so hard! how do you pick one park?! especially for someone who hasnt been in a long time! im going to go with either MK or MGM. just let your conscience be your guide!

That would have to be the Magic Kingdom.
It's the first Disney park I ever went to (way back when it was the only park at WDW) and it's the most " Disney" of all the parks. and of course, it's the only one with Dole Whips. :slurp:

I would say Epcot. A lot has changed in Future World in the last 14 yrs. Definately walk the Showcase. We finally did that this last trip and it was wonderful, we only really saw Morocco since we would eat there. This time we walked the whole thing and loved it.

I agree AK is really a half day park, it's more walking and standing in lines than seeing much of anything, it seems. Once the parade starts up you are pretty much taking the longest route possible to get out of the park, since there is only one entrance. It took almost as long to get out of the park as it did to stand in line for Kilamanjaro Safari (over 1 hour)

I'd have to say MK, but we didn't get to go to Epcot while we were there. Tooks us 2 1/2 days for MK and we STILL didn't get it all done!

Although I loved MGM for the slower pace, and I am a Hollywood buff!

EPCOT. Not even a question. Funny thing is that I can't really articulate why it's my park of choice, it just is.

I'm so glad to see that there are other Epcot buffs out there!

MK hands down in my opinion, like others above me have said, it's just not a trip to the World without heading to MK for a day. Have fun on your day!

My favorite is MK...enough said.. it is a classic and has the rides and shows you know and love but since you haven't been to Epcot for so long it is so worth to visit now. The new ride that they have now are great..MS,Sorin, TT plus a better choice in food if you love to eat there..

In 1988 it was Epcot. In 1993 it was MK. If I went tomorrow it would be DAK since I've not ridden EE. If it was next year, who can tell?

Cheers.

If I had one day and one park, it'd have to be MK. I love being able to stroll around Epcot, and I love almost everything about MGM, but if I had only one, I just get more magic out of MK, and would feel like I forgot something if I didn't do MK on my trip.
