I was just looking for fun on at disneyworld.com under reservations & it said if you prefer to book by phone call (407) 939-7429. I thought the number for CRO was 407-934-7639 which was the number my dad called last Friday. So can anyone tell me what is with the number on the disneyworld.com web site?

My next vacation to Walt Disney World: August 8-19 at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Not sure. Maybe one is WDW Travel Company and another is WDW Central Reservations Office? I believe they are seperate entities.

I imagine the number on the website is they number they want you to call. What else would it be? Why does somebody always know better?

I thought since CRO was 407-934-7639 then that's the number would be listed on disneyworld.com, maybe a CM from here can explain the other number?

The "somebody who always knows better" is every WDW TV commercial ever made. The number he called (not the website one) is 407-W-DISNEY. Again, it's probably CRO vs WDTC. WDTC is all-inclusive (airlines, rental car, hotel, and tix). CRO is mainly room and tix.

The Disney Reservation Center (DRC) infact has over two dozen different phone numbers to reach the same set of Reservation Cast Members. We use these different phone numbers to track the effectiveness of our different marketing promotions and advertisements.

Central Reservations Office (CRO) and Walt Disney Travel Company (WDTC) are infact two separate companies both owned by the Walt Disney Company, however, all Cast Members at DRC are technically employees of both companies.

Simply put, if you book a room-only reservation by phone, you are booking through CRO. If you book a vacation package you are booking through WDTC, and any Reservation Cast Member you speak with can book either for you.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:
