Which MK hotel?

I'm thinking of taking the kids (will be 5 & 7) in Feb to Disney for a few days, just me and them, daddy will be at home. So I'm trying to decide where to stay, I like to try different hotels and am thinking about either GF, Poly or Contemp. We stayed at Poly 3 years ago and I loved it, I stayed at Contemp years ago when I was a kid and never stayed at GF. Which would you pick keeping in mind I'll have the kids with me.

I've never stayed at any of them, but I think I would pick the GF. You've already stayed at the Poly and the Contemporary seems kind of boring, the inside of the GF is really neat.

We have stayed at Poly and Contemporary, GF will be next time, we like being on the Monorail.

A lot of young children don't get the GF theme, when young my DS always related it to "rich people." I will say I think GF has the nicest pools of the 3 monorail resorts.

The poly was nice but didn't wow us and the pools were a disappointment. we enjoyed the restaurants Kona cafe and Ohana.

We all liked the Contemporary, the re-furbished rooms are great, they also re-did the pools recently. California Grille and Chef Mickey's were fun.

With all that said I would pick the Contemporary to stay at but book a meal in either Ohana or Kona cafe and possibly 1900 Park Fare in the GF.

I'd say either the Poly or Contemporary. Sure, you've already stayed at both of those and the GF would be something new, but I think the kids would appreciate the Poly or Contemporary more. If you guys plan on any swimming- I think the pools at the Poly beat out the Contemporary's by a mile and then some. And while I've read several people's GF reviews with kids and loved it...all of my friends who have done WDW with kids regretted choosing the GF. It was the only deluxe resort to not even make my consideration list for that reason...something about people you know telling you it was a let down swayed me more.

I don't have kids, so this opinion comes strictly from what my husband and I experienced from staying at all the MK resorts.

I liked the Poly a lot. It is beautiful (as you already know). But, my absolute favorite monorail resort is the Contemporary. I think the newly referubished rooms are extremely comfortable. Plus, the ability to walk to and from the MK in mere minutes was the cherry on top for us. We had a night at MK when a huge storm hit at the end of the night. Of course everyone was leaving anyway, but the rain made it a bit more urgent. Every bus stop and the monorail line was beyond packed. We loved running through the rain back to the resort.

Plus, Chef Mickey's is RIGHT THERE!! :)

Yeah - what he said!!

I absolutely LOVE the Contemporary. I've stayed there 3 times in 3 years. And when I took my niece6 & nephew9 there last year, the convenience made it worth any price. Two-minute walk to the monorail, the bus stop, the food court - you can't beat it.

I stayed at Poly 7/2007 and tried GF 11/2009. GF is awesome. Rooms are gorgeous. My kids were older than at Poly and it was their second Disney trip, so that may have something to do with the relaxed feeling I get when I recall that vacation. The ONLY issue with GF is it's the only resort in the entire complex (we were told) that does not have that channel with the Disney cartoon clips running 24/7 in the rooms - it's in the lobby but not the rooms. We all enjoyed watching that during down time at the Poly. It may not seem like much, but just you with 2 kids - you may need something to occupy them when you shower! It has a channel with Disney corporate clips - but it was mostly playing Miley's Party in the USA. YIKES!
