which line at rope drop?

hey guys

if i hit each park about 30 mins before opening... is there any trick to which line to get on to quicken our entry into the park? lol... totally realize I'm going a little nuts!

When you average it all out, it's about the same wait at any turnstile. But, you could increase your odds by assessing (i.e. profiling) the people in line.

Odds are, if you see a short line, but it has a couple families with numerous children, strollers, etc....it's going to move a lot slower than a line dominated by 18-30 year olds.

You can make similar assumptions for lines heavy with non-English speaking guests, people with clueless looks on their faces, elderly guests...or anyone else you might consider being slower to navigate the tech-heavy entry system.

These are complete generalizations, but you get the picture.

A few thoughts:
1. People always fill in the center and often times the sides can have less people.
2. I agree with everything Tom says.
3. Large tour groups can also really slow the line down since they are all trying to get in together, talking to each other and have to wait till everybody is through. I saw a group of 20 start handing out RFID cards to just anybody in the group not realizing that they had been assigned to a fingerprint previously. This was clearly day two and nobody thought to mark their cards. It was a mess.

Rope drop at MK happens after you have gone through the turnstiles. You are basically in the park, but are stopped at the train station until they "drop the rope". Pretty much everyone goes in at the same time. Some of the suggestions are good though, profile and look for people that might be slower that you can go past when the time comes, but, it won't change anything by any large degree.

I thought that all tickets sold together were tied, enabling any fingerprints to be used with any pass?

Don't sweat over it too much. As long as you fast-walk and head straight to Peter Pan you'll be fine.
