Which is the Best WDW Beach?

Poly beach was the best before the Bungalows arrived. Now the beach that remains is much more crowded. I enjoy Beach Club very much with orange and purple sunsets...the whispers and smells of nearby Epcot and Boardwalk and a gentle toot of the Friendship boats passing by.

Best with a belly full of crab legs after dinner at Cape May Café :)

Ameobic Meningioencephalitis! Hasn't been seen in about 15 years, but yes, still water in Florida is still inhabited by prehistoric critters...

Health officials warn of amoeba in wake of 11-year-old boy's death

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com...03_1_amoeba-warm-fresh-water-freshwater-lakes

from the article... "One of the worst years for the infection in Central Florida was 2007, when three Central Florida boys died of it." Not all that long ago either. This stuff is serious business. I just hired a guy up here in PA who relocated from FL and they NEVER went in the water from fears of this.

Since the "beaches" are only along a lake, and you are not allowed to swim in any of them, I'm wondering why it matters? They are all about the same except for the view across the lake.

It's nice to sit on all of the WDW beaches at night to watch a Disney movie and just relax. Wilderness Lodge is nice. They used to have a marshmallow roast FREE at night before the movie started. Fun.:D

Coronado Springs has a nice little beach as well as The Yacht and Beach Club but the best is definitely the one between the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. Be aware that you can't swim in the lakes so if you were looking to do so your best bet would be to head east about 45 min. to the Space Coast and enjoy the miles of beaches from Cape Canaveral to Vero Beach

Have we heard whether the OP wants sand or swim, because, as many of the posts point out, WDW has basically instituted a no-swim at beaches dictate (except, of course, at the waterparks)? So if OP simply wants sand, many resorts have "beaches". If OP wants to swim, see above. We like the beach/swim combo at Typhoon Lagoon, which is obviously not a resort. For swimming, with a side of sand, at a WDW resort, we a like Storm-a-long Bay at BC/YC.
