Which is better? Shula's or Yachtsman Steakhouse?

I guess the title pretty much says it all. I am wondering if any of you have eaten at both Shula's and the Yachtsman Steakhouse and could give an opinion on which is better.

Or at least have you got a critique of Shula's?

Thanks!!

Being a steakeater...Shulas serves some of the finest steaks I have had in Orlando -- expensive but worth it. Never been disappointed by any of the steak choices -- but stay away from any of the non-steak choices (yucky pasta dishes). Yachstman Steakhouse is the more "servicable" of the two -- in all honestly, I do not think the meat is as good there, although they do have a very tasty New York Strip and for non-steak eaters the other dishes are better than those at Shulas. I heartily recommend Shulas as the best meat in Orlando when it comes to steak. Also it "feels" like a meat-eaters restauarant...Yachstman's to me feels like another Disney themed restaurant. The nautical theme is pretty, but doesn't feel like a steakhouse.

The steaks in California Grill and (especially) Flying Fish are absolute tops. There's a local restaurant chain called Charley's that supposed to be good but i haven't tried it. The steaks at anothe restaurant "outside the bubble", Moonfish are also great!!

I haven't been to Shula's in Orlando, but I have been to the one in Birmingham, AL. I loved it! Even though we went on Valentines Day and it had a set menu with limited options, it was still fantastic! I enjoyed my steak at Yachtsman's Steakhouse as well though. I got steak and lobster. The lobster was warm water and since this was only the 2nd time having lobster I didn't realize the difference until I tasted it. I hated the lobster but loved the beef. On another note, when we went, my 2 1/2 year old son decided to melt down. Our waiter immediately stepped in before it got really out of hand and said Hey lil man why don't you come with me and pick out your steak. He took him over to the window and let him watch the man cutting the beef. He talked to him a little bit and helped him choose "his" steak. Then he let him pick out which dessert he wanted from the tray. He picked the white chocolate puzzle with the paints. The waiter asked me if it would be ok for him to bring dessert 1st. I said sure and he came back and explained to my son that he should paint his puzzle before he ate it. We had a nice relaxing meal thanks to a very kind waiter! My son finished painting just as dinner arrived and he decided he wanted to eat the steak he picked out 1st then eat dessert when we did. He cleaned his plate and was full of smiles.
We'll definately be going back on our next trip.

I've always wanted a $6 baked potato from Shula's

Actually, this post wasn't about the price, it was about the quality. There are many of us online here who primarily go to the upscale restaurants in Orlando rather than the cheaper ones or the counter service. That's just the way pricing goes at these restaurants.

It was just a joke. When I looked at the menu, I found that to be hillarious.
