Which Epcot Resort?

I need opinions...

We still have a lot of time until our trip, but I wanted to see what everyone thinks.

Would you choose the Boardwalk, Beach Club, or Yacht Club?

Explain your choice please.

Thanks

I'm patrial to Boardwalk because I like the theaming better.

In my opinion Y&B are just resort hotels with the restaurants and stuff in them. Amazing pool though.

Boardwalk to me feels more like a resort hotel with a community main street attached. You need to go out the lobby and down to the boardwalk to get to the shops, restaurants, and clubs. I liked the energy of being right over attractions that were a destination on to themselves. Sorta like if they had hotels over Main Street at MK.

I stayed at Boardwalk Inn before joining DVC, and have also stayed at Yacht Club. I agree with Moustronaut's assessment--the Boardwalk has more of a "resort" feel, while YC (and, I imagine BC as well) has more of a "hotel" feel. Granted, it is a very well appointed hotel ;), but the room is kind of "just a place to lay my head". I believe the rooms at BWI are more spacious. Of course, since joining the DVC, I have become a bit spoiled when it comes to room size.

To this day, I feel that the Boardwalk Inn is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. There is much more to the atmosphere, just so much more stuff to look at--everywhere you turn, there are shelves or cabinets with old fashioned trinkets. The Bellevue Room is a great place to take a break, furnished with "old" sofas and armchairs, the shelves lined with radios from every era. In the evenings, they play old-time radio programs. My husband really enjoyed that, because he is a fan of those old shows.

I hope the information you get here helps you make your decision!

I am going to say beach club. It is byfar the most amazing hotel i have ever stayed at. The pool is the best on property and the theme is amazing. I couldn't love this place any more. Beaches and Cream sells the best milkshakes and ice cream, plus they have great veggie burgers. Since my first stay there 5 years ago i have continued staying there every visit. I love the yacht club as well but i feel more at "home" with the beach club.

It seems like people are pretty partial to the beach club and boardwalk. Anyone else have any other opinions? I am really interested to see what people have to say.

I have stayed at the Boardwalk and loved it, eaten at the Yacht Club and loved it, eaten at the Beach Club and loved it so you could say I just love the Epcot resorts as a whole!

Sorry, not much help!!

I personally prefer the Yacht club. It may be because when I was younger my family always stayed there, but it is my favorite of the three hotels. Really, by choosing any of the three, you are in what I consider the best location at Disney. You are right in the middle of two of the theme parks, MGM and Epcot and have access to all the activites at the Boardwalk.

I find the Boardwalk to be a very nice place to visit and stroll along and it has some beautiful interiors, but it just doesn't "speak" to me  I find the Yacht and Beach club to have excellent restaurants, including my favorite place at Disney, Beaches and Cream. It also has its own "waterpark" complete with a great shipwreck slide, two whirlpools, a "lazy river" and several connected pools with sand bottoms that go underneath and around rock formations, bridges, windmills, etc. The pool alone makes these two resorts the better between Y&B and Boardwalk (and you still have access to the shops and restaurants at the Boardwalk with a short walk).

So, for me, the question would be choosing between Yacht OR Beach. The Beach club is a lighter, brighter, more fun atmosphere from the lobby to the rooms. (Take a close look at the wallpaper, the hidden Mickey's are EVERYWHERE). The Yacht club is much more formal, darker and has an almost "serious" atmosphere. Now don't get me wrong, it is still just as fun as the beach side, after all it is a Disney resort :)

So for my final thoughts, choose either the Yacht Club or Beach Club. Here you will have access to everything Y&B has, from their pool, to their fitness center, to the great restaurants. Yet, you can still walk around the small lagoon and stroll the shops and restaurants the Boardwalk has. Which, to me, would be the main reason to choose Boardwalk over Y&B anyway.

I voted for the Boardwalk. I have stayed at all three Resorts and by far it's the nicest one. There is so much more to do there. We loved Spoodles and the Surrey rides are a lot of fun. Good luck choosing.

I went with Yacht Club. I have never stayed at Boardwalk, but the clown pool would scare the daylights out of me. I like Yacht club because of the theming, it's better than the Beach clubs. Plus, the pool is just terrific, even if you aren't a kid. Just my little say :)

Wherever you go, have a GREAT time!

The really great things about the boardwalk are numerous. First of all, you are right in the middle of an entertainment district, so you will never get bored at your hotel (not that you can at others, but you get the drift). Also, the resort is set up so that you don't have to be on top of all that noise of the boardwalk all the time...there are plenty of quiet areas within the resort. And finally...you are so close to Epcot!!!! Just a short walk away....I would go for the boardwalk if I were you!!!!:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:
