As I sit at home on my day off watching my son on a snowy midwest day, I can't help myself but think of our next Disney trip next spring in March/April. This will be my sons first trip to Disney World, he will be 17 months at the time. We will most likely be there for a full week (with parents, brother and his wife).
So every time my family decides to return "home" we contemplate trying a different DVC resort but also come to the conclusion that we want to stay at the Boardwalk, our home resort. The reason why is because we love the resort, the ability to walk to S&D and Y&B, but also the central location and proximity to Epcot & Hollywood studios.
We have thrown around staying at the Polynesian, but not a DVC so will take a lot of points. Wilderness Lodge was discussed but not on the monorail.
Animal Kingdom is also far from the other 3 parks.
Grand Floridian may have their DVC open by then, been about 20 years since I stayed their.
I was hoping someone would be able to convince me to stay at another resort to change things up or stick with the tradition. I have seen every hotel, but only stayed at GF, BW, Y&B, CS, PO
