Which Disney Value resort??

Hey guys, I'm currently planning my second WDW trip for May next year. We're only going for a week (I'm a teacher so holidays are limited!) and we've decided to stay at a value resort this time. Last year we stayed at POR and we loved it! However, we barely spent any time at the resort so we're wanting to save money and spend the extra cash elsewhere. I was just wondering are there any major differences between the value resorts? We're torn between Sports and Music but looking online there doesn't seem to be any differences apart from decor.

If you've stayed at one of these resorts I'd love for you to share your experiences with me.
Thank you!

I like the resort layout of Sports better, I like staying in Homeroom or the football section because where my room was it a short walk to the bus stop. I stayed in the Broadway section of Music and it was a longer walk. To me the Sports seems to have more Disney touches with their sports statues than the music but overall not much difference. If you want more of a Disney look around your resort the Movies would be the way to go. I enjoyed staying in the Dalmatians area of the Movies.

The Pop is probably the nicest of the values, but I haven't stayed in a refurbished room yet. It does tend to cost a bit more than the All Stars though.

I would choose Pop and a refurbished room. The only difference between Music and Sports is truly the decor. Pop though has its own bus service. Music, Sports, and Music all share busses so wait times can be longer and drop off times take longer since you typically stop at the multiple resorts.

Pop Century is our favourite but if you want to save money then All Star Music is usually the cheapest. My only gripe about All Stars is that they all share buses whereas Pop has it's own.

The All Stars don't always share buses. They usually only share towards the middle of the day. In my experience in the peak times they have their own buses.

We stayed at Movies in the Toy Story Section. Had a room on 3rd floor backside of Buzzlight year. Right next to the main building, and a quiet room. Yes, you do share with the other two for bus, and the Movies are the last stop. I have been told by others to do Sports as it is the first stop. Yes at busiest times it can be hard to get a bus, but the transportation people are good at getting separate buses going during peak times. We rarely spent any real time at the resort, because we got up got out and explored and only came back to sleep and clean up. If we Valued again, we might have taken AoA suggestion our travel agent gave us, but you can save another $30 a day doing All Stars. Movies is actually the cheapest. You should double check the high school and collegiate time frames of any Disney sponsored championships. Sports and music is where all the little darlings and dickens are roomed during these times. Celebration hall between these two resorts can get hectic, as well as them going from ESPN and back, getting time to hit the parks. Some are over flowed into the mighty ducks building of movies. I have seen on the board that Pop can get some of these over flows too.

We have stayed at Pop and AoA and though we liked the resorts we ended up waiting for buses much of the time. Some times as many as three buses. My point is just because they have their own buses doesn't mean you wont wait.

The wife stayed at All Star Music once with out me (bad, bad girl), and she felt the wait was even longer, so who knows.

Having a choice I've stayed at All-Star Sports every October for years. The resort layout and the considerable tree growth really hides the "value" look. The bussing is great, definitely not sharing unless it's midday and the busses are empty. Also the 5 minute bus to AK is pretty awesome. The food court works, the beds are made to sleep on and the only Disney accommodations that are cheaper are campsites.
