Which Disney songs should I choose?

I'm in the "planning" stage of my Disney wedding and I have to choose songs for the following:

Bridal party (which is only 2 people, so will be really short)
Bride
Sand Ceremony
Recessional
Cake/Champagne

I want all Disney music and these are my favorites:
Can you Feel the Love Tonight (makes me tear up every time - no clue why)
Beauty and the Beast
A Whole New World
You'll Be in My Heart
Bella Note
A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
Someday My Prince Will Come

So which songs should I choose for each section? I could really use some help!

I am making choices solely from your list, as you have stated that they are your favorites.

Bridal Party: Bella Notte (A statement about the coming event, “a beautiful” thing)
Bride: Someday My Prince Will Come (Fulfilled as the bride joins the groom)
Sand Ceremony: A Whole New World (Two separate lives forming one new life)
Recessional: A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes (The dream has been fulfilled through the marriage)
Cake: Can You Feel The Love Tonight (A symbolic statement to conclude the evening)

If you will allow, I would like to make a statement regarding “Beauty and the Beast”. It is a nice story and a pretty song, but I don’t feel that a song that makes reference to a beast is appropriate for a wedding. Both the bride and the groom should be regarded with a sense of honor, and the title “beast” does not allow for propriety. Just a thought, but weddings are generally full of symbolism, and this one would seem inappropriate. Also, I did not include “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” during the ceremony because it makes you cry, and excessive tears at your own wedding are a hindrance (seriously).

Best wishes on your planning and eventual marriage.

Thanks so much for your suggestions! I agree that crying in a wedding is not very attractive. I really like the way that you described why each choice was appropriate. That's actually extremely helpful!

Might I suggest "Love" from Robin Hood? I think Maid Marian sings it - or maybe its just sung about her and Robin Hood - either way it's really pretty and sweet and would be beautiful at a wedding. Best of luck!!!!

May I suggest you add a song? I've always thought "So This is Love" would be the best Disney song to use for a wedding. It's soft, elegant, charming, and the lyrics are beautiful and poetic. Congratulations, by the way!

I thought love was only true in fairytales
Meant for someone else but not for me
Love was out to get me
That's the way it seemed
Disappointment haunted all my dreams

Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer

Not a trace of doubt in my mind

I'm in love, I'm a believer

I couldn't leave her if I tried

I thought love was more or less a givin' thing

Seems the more I gave the less I got

What's the use in trying?

All you get is pain

When I needed sunshine I got rain

Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer

Not a trace of doubt in my mind

I'm in love, I'm a believer

I couldn't leave her if I tried

Love was out to get me

Now that's the way it seemed

Disappointment haunted all my dreams

Oh then I saw her face, now I'm a believer

Not a trace of doubt in my mind

I'm in love, I'm a believer

I couldn't leave her if I tried

Yes I saw her face, now I'm a believer

Not a trace of doubt in my mind

Said I'm a believer, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

(I'm a believer)

(I'm a believer)

Said I'm a believer, yeah

(I'm a believer)

Said I'm a believer, yeah

(I'm a believer)

I really want that one! But it isn't on the list of choices and I'm not sure if I can add to it.

It's violin, so I'm not sure that it makes a difference. If I had to choose, it would definitely be Elton John.

I figured it was an instrumental.

If you have our luck you would have to very specific. You would not want to hear Timon sing, "Disasters in the air!"
