OK, it looks like I will be able to afford for me and my sweetie to stay in a deluxe resort for one night if we want to (we are planning on the dolphin for our other nights)

Which would everyone reccomend?

Wilderness?
AK?

Thoughts please

If I had one night to take the wife to any hotel on property it would be GF or the Contemporary (depending on if we could get a room facing MK for the fireworks, etc...)

Tough Choice!!

I would stay at either Boardwalk or Y & B club. I love how close they are to Epcot and MGM and have never been disappointed with their services. A suggestion for a romantic dinner too is the Yachtmans Steakhouse. Faboo!! Good luck deciding!!

In my opinion, the Polynesian is the best combination of luxury and a laid back atmosphere. The people that generally stay at the Grand seem rather snotty to me. Not all of them but a good many.

We kinda did the same thing last trip. We are DVC members and have annual passes. We were staying 10 days a OKW (in a studio) and BIL and SIL spent a few days with us. We took advantage of this and spent one night at a deluxe (while they stayed with 2 year old Little PhD). I really wanted GF at 1st. After all it was our 10th wedding aniversary. However after comparing prices AKL seemed like the best deal, and we had never been there before.

We were not disapointed. It was great. It is a lovely resort, we were upgraded to a savana view (the room with AP rate in Aug was 119 a night.) They even had a card signed by Mickey and Minnie and a small gift (perfume in a nice box) left in the room for our anniversary.

I didn't really think AKL was "my thing" I am more of a Y&B kind of person, but I loved it. It was very romanitic the pool was great. I wish we would of ate at the restants more, but we ate at Califorina Grill instead (that was great!)

Poly is nice, so is Y&B, but if you are already at S&D you might just want to do some place father away. Also consider what you are doing that day. Will you be at MK? If so you might want a monorail line resort. If you will be someplace else try a resort close to there.

Haven't done WL yet, 52 more days and I can let you know how it was! :sohappy:

Check out what kind of deals or codes you can get and then compare. Are you getting the teacher or goverment worker code at S&D. That can be a great deal.
