Which All Star?

I just booked reservations for end of July, beginning of August. I tried to get All-Star Movies with the AP discount because I have stayed there before, but they were out of rooms so they gave me the choice between All Star Sports or Music. I chose sports. Is the sports one the same as movies because if movies is better I will call back and see if any rooms opened up. Thanks

I would pick the All-Star Movies. But that is mainly because of the themeing. Look at the a few pictures and that should give you a better idea. The themeing at Movies is of course movies which include Toy Story, 101 Dalm, Love Bug, Fantasia, ect... The Music is themed around different types of music like Broadway, Country, ect... The Sports has themeing such as baseball, football, ect... I love staying in the Toy Story buildings (All-Star Movies) when I have to stay at an All-Star resort.

I've only stayed at sports but when we go down next week we have one night at movies. We wanted to go down one night early, stay for cheap, and still be on property. Sports was nice, but I think the rooms at any of the all stars are all about the same. I would pick movies because of the theming.

I really liked Movies's food court because they had the screens, and one station would change every day. Is this how Sports is also?

well we have stayed at all 3, movies is our favorite but thats more of a theme the kids like. However, our nephews loved Sports and we wouldn't hesitate to go back. Its been awhile since we have been to the sports but the food courts were all similar offers, just a different theme, obvious at movies it had a movie theme. food is relatively the same offers, prices and all 3 have the big televisions ( or they did last time we were there) either way, your going to WDW! have a great trip!

The reason we stayed at Music once was that there was no AP discount for Movies. Same situation as you face. Would have loved to stay at Movies that trip but just couldn't justify paying $30 more a night when there is basically no difference in the three All Stars other than theaming

You can always do a walking tour of the Movies resort and enjoy paying less at one of the others. I like Music second best (it's all about the theming anyway) mostly because I don't like the giant Coke cups at Sports-a little too commercial even for Disney.

The only differences between the All-Stars would be the Halls (check in/merch/foodservice) a the bedspreads and of course the themeing. Movies has a layout that allows the lodging building to be closer to the hall. Everything learned from Sports and Music design wise was applied to the Movies layout. Everything that was learned from the All-Stars is being applied to Pop Century. Most of these improvements are Cast related. No matter where you go the rooms are the same.
