Where to stay next????

So even though I know I may be as far as two years out from my next Disney trip, I am trying to decide where to stay next. We totally lucked out on our last trip and received the mother of all upgrades at the Contemporary. So now we are spoiled. I don't know if I can stay anywhere other than a monorail resort or in the very least a bus/boat stop away from Epcot and MK, our two faves. The only way we can afford any of these is if we get an PIN or I save forever. So where would you stay?

WL is a good compromise for a deluxe resort. It is a short boat or bus ride to MK. The lodge itself is beautiful. Rooms are a touch smaller than other deluxes, but quite comfortable for 4.

While you can walk to Epcot from Yacht & Beach Club, it is a longer bus ride to MK. You do have the advantage of Stormalong Bay. But the rooms are more $$ than WL.

I am thinking the same thing. We want to do a little longer trip this time. Probably same number of park days but build in a day or two of resort time.

Question about the Swan and Dolphin. Can you get the DDP when you stay there?
Not sure about the dining plan, but I am pretty sure you can't do room charges if you stay there. If I were you, I would totally try out the beach club, that is the next on our list, we try to stay somewhere different everytime and we really enjoyed the convenience of the boardwalk when we stayed there. My fav is the contemporary, so I can understand your dilemma.

Is it easy access to Epcot?
Beach Club is a 5-minute walk to Epcot and you can also walk to Hollywood Studios. Same with Yacht Club, Swan/Dolphin and the Boardwalk. LOVE the Boardwalk. The Epcot resorts are pricey though, and be aware that the Swan and Dolphin add resort fees and whatnot to your nightly rate.

Also look at Coronado Springs Resort. The resort itself is gingantically spread out but I was shocked at how quickly the bus got to the Magic Kingdom last month. I didn't take the bus to any other parks but if you look at a resort-wide map the CSR seems like a decent location. And the rooms in that resort are really nice.

No. It's not a Disney hotel. You can't take the Disney shuttle bus, either and would have to arrange some other shuttle if you don't have access to a car.

It is a LOT cheaper than the Disney Deluxe hotels, though. So, you would likely spend less than you would with "free dining" at the Poly. :) Worth looking into, IMO. :)

AH.... I love your new avatar.

I think Beach Club is an excellent choice if you like Epcot, or at the very least the proximity of alot of great food choices. It's a wonderful resort, with a fantastic pool. Kind of difficult maneuvering the hallways to the room at first but by day 3 I had the hang. I had no issues with travel by boat or bus either. So far I think BC is my favorite resort.....POLY running a close 2nd....

Having stayed at the POLY twice and being an MK person, and liking ease of movement while on property...I have to say POLY has fit those requirements really well. I am ready to try the rest of the MK resorts and staying at WL for the first time in 3 more weeks:D.

I could definitely go back to a mod resort but not sure if I would ever do a value again. I spend alot of time at the resort now, more than I do the parks probably...it matters what my surroundings and services are close by.

If you want the DDP, Dolphin and Swan are not for you. No DDP or DME available for guests of that resort and while magic+ and FP+ in trial session none of that available either:(
