Where to park at Disney Downtown Disney?

I'm going to be in the Orlando area in the next few weeks and wanted to get a little dose of Disney while I'm there. I was hoping to stop by DTD and Raglan Road, has anyone been crazy enough to drive there with all the construction? Where is a good place to park? I've never driven there myself I've always rode Disney transportation but won't be able to this time. Any advise would be appreciated.

I'll gladly walk. I was just hoping to find the best place to park. I'm assuming all the parking is a mess.
We are going to be there soon as well. What we usually do is drive over to POR or POFQ then take the boat to DTD. We do this for two reasons. First, we always do some resort hopping while there and enjoy visiting different resorts and trying different restaurants, and two, we just really enjoy the boat ride between these resorts and DTD and back. Now, this takes some time, but we enjoy it.

No problem parking at the resorts. We do it often. Now, during busier times there can be an issue but you said in the next few weeks. You just show the gate attendant a photo ID and tell him or her you are visiting the resort. They will usually show you where self parking is. The boat ride takes about 20 to 30 minutes from POR so give yourself plenty of time. Hope you enjoy the ride. Oh, when you get back to the resort, I recommend getting a Magic Cookie Bar for later.

Never had an issue parking at most resorts, but there can sometimes be an issue parking at the Monorail resorts, as people try to park there then go to the MK. Sometimes parking is limited at the CR, Poly, and GF during busier times.
