OK im going off an almost 25 year old memory lol. Last time i was there was 7 years ago and i dont remember this building being open to the public. Im almost certain it was a quick service, place to eat but im not sure. if anyone remembers what was in there from the opening of Epcot till now id appreciate it. And disregard my friend there lol

That's the Odyssey Restaurant. It was there on opening day and served fast food from 82 until 94. I think it was seasonal until 96 and then since then has been used for private gatherings.

Judging by the angle of the photo, your friend was standing right next to the Mexico Pavilion, under the umbrellas I have circled in red on the photo below ...

That is the Odyssey Restaurant. It was a quick service burger joint with character meets until it closed in 1994. It is now used for special events, Disney Institute seminars, etc.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. I remember eating there as kid when i first went when i was around 10 or so(1985ish), when i was back about 7 years ago it looked all dark from the outside and figured it was used as a storage place.

As for my friend, he can make anyone laugh. I think he was there at the time for a ,lack of a better word, choir thing in college
