I went to one Shula's Steakhouse before in Philadelphia and it was the worst dining experience I ever had. Went back a second time because of some free passes given to us due to the first experience and it still came up short. Now I know this is Philly and not WDW, but I swore to myself that if anybody ever asked about Shula's I would recommend the steak at Denny's over it just because they ruined my Millenium New Year's. Now that I told you my opinion on the worst (even though I have never eaten at that exact location) all I have to say is that I do not have a clue what the best is because I have never eaten steak at Disney. JUST NEVER EAT AT SHULA'S!!! I love the MOJO bones at the Rainforest though.
I had a great steak at the ESPN Club on Disneys Boardwalk.
I don't think any place has bad Steaks... I think sometimes chefs have bad days. Also: not all steaks are exactly the same...even if they are the same cut of meat they might not taste the same at the same place twice.
Some steaks have more Marbling than others. The marbling determines the tenderness of the steak. Also how you like your steak DONE can make it good or bad. Steaks cooked well done will almost always be tough and dry.
I guess what I'm trying to say is this: on any given say, at any given restaurant, you may or may not get a great steak.
I just try differant places and if I get a great steak, I go back. If I get a bad steak, I try another place. Thats the beauty of Disney World...so many choices. :animwink:
The California Grill may have had the best steak special I had ever had. An absolutlely perfect filet with some type of special marinade made it delicious. Plus the atmosphere and view made it even more worthwhile!
