Where is the best spot to watch parade's in frontierland?

Frontierland is where the parade starts, I have never tried to view it from there, I would guess by Pecos Bills maybe. We have viewed the parade from just in front of the Hall of Presidents right by a turn. It was a good spot but doesn't come close to Main Street, the snow and lighting is better.

How early really depends on what day of the season you are going. We have noticed that even the middle of December can be quite busy. Last year we went at the end of November to the first week in December and both parties we did were busy with one being sold out. On busy nights we try to get there 45 min before, but once again this applies to Main Street. If it is a slower night, which we haven't seen in a few years, we could grab a spot about fifteen minutes before the start of the parade.

There are two parades per night and the second one has always been less crowed for us. This use to always apply to the Boo-To-You parade also, but there has been a few times for us when it seemed just as crowed as the first.

I always say that either when they first enter from Frontierland or Exit back to Backstage from Main Street seems to be a great place and this is where characters notice you the most...

Whether we are at MNSSHP or MVMCP, we like to gather by Pecos Bills to watch the characters and floats make their way through Frontierland. We tend to get a lot of instant attention from the parade participants. Maybe cause they are just starting out and are fresher?? We get there 30 - 45 min before. That area doesnt seem to be as heavily targeted as other areas especially as in the Hub and Main Street paths.

Near Pecos Bill's with you standing in front of Pecos facing away from it toward the water. That way you have less light in your face distracting you. I wouldn't bother with the Mainstreet viewing unless I was from some tropical place and had never experienced snow before. Disney's snow is pretty pathetic, akin to bad soap bubbles that wouldn't impress anyone unless the had never seen snow for real. Frankly the fake snow was the biggest let down I can remember at MK... Then again I foolishly fell for the marketing hype the first time we did the Christmas party and was expecting something a little more realistic.
But hey if you grew up in the caribbean and have never seen snow before you might enjoy mainstreet... but honestly that area tends to be more crowded because of people wanting their kids to see the "snow", so do yourself a favor and do Frontierland. It really is the best place to watch parades at all the parties Disney does.
