Where Does This Song Originate From?

I have a complete collection of VHS copies of the Disney Sing-A-Long Songs videos.

One of my favorites features a song/animated video for " A Cowboy Needs A Horse"

Does anyone know where this comes from? Is is from a movie, or a short? And when did it first appear?

I am pretty sure it is an original composition from the 1956 short of the same title.

As Master Yoda said above, this appeared in the 1956 short subject "A Cowboy Needs a Horse" which is featured in the Walt Disney's It's a Small World of fun volume 1 series. Yes, it's also in the Disney Sing Along Song Heigh Ho vhs from 1987.
