I know CompUSA is an authorized Apple seller, and if i'm not mistaken they have them. I got mine at The Apple Store at our local mall in Wellington. Many electronic stores should have them. I believe I have seen them at Circuit City as well.

Good luck finding one. They've sold out since mid-December in many places. First place to go would be apple.com to order one online, or go to their retail page and find a store near you.

I got mine from Best Buy. I know that CompUSA also sells them. However, if you are eligible for the educational discount, I recommend getting it at the Apple Store. It knocks a bit off the price.

If you are a student from K-12 to college or "homeschool" you can get an ipod for around $30 or so cheaper. I know right now you can also get free laser engraving online at apple.com

Or you can drop by your local Apple Store (kinda like Gateway Country for those that dont have an Apple Store yet)

Yeah, but the Apple Stores are COOLER!

Anyway, if you get free lazer engraving, you can't return them. As for getting one, wait till Janurary 6th, that's when MacWorld San Fran happens, and new Pods might be announced.

Here's the Apple Store page... http://www.apple.com/retail/

is there another service you can get the songs from to put on your IPOD.

You can use any online music service or CD's you load onto your computer and then import them into iTunes for either PC or MAC (free software download) and then transfer to your iPod.

I got my iPod from best buy online.

They accidentally charged me twice for it, then were terribly rude before they corrected the mistake.

You can copy the music off the CD's you already have with iTunes and then put the music on your iPod. If you are downloading music for free off Kazaa, then you are stealing.

You do not need to pay for song transfers to the iPod at all. You can put any type of MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF, or Audioble Books music files on it. You HAVE to pay when you buy songs off of the iTunes Music Store, but not to copy songs from CDs through iTunes. Other services that use WMA format will not work on the iPod at this time.
