Where did I take this photo?

Ok super sleuths, I need your help.

I have this photo from my 2003 WDW vacation, but I'm not sure what it is. I know it is in Epcot because the image number falls between a photo of us in Innoventions and being in the Monorail leaving the Epcot station.

The first thing that always pops in my head is the Rainbow Tunnel at Imagination but was the tunnel still around then? It looks very different than I remember too with the wavy/diamond pattern of lights.

If it's not the Rainbow Tunnel, then I have no idea. Was some kind of clone tunnel made in Innoventions anywhere?

I don't know, either, lol. Truly have no idea. Did SE used to have colors go by in the descent? Interested to find out, though?

I think it's the rainbow tunnel at Imageworks - there is the same clear strip running along the top of both photos. I also don't remember a diamond pattern...maybe it was just the way your camera photographed the light?

While I'd love to agree... unless the poster was up there on a backstage tour or snuck in, it's impossible. The original ImageWorks was closed as part of the 1998 refurbishment on the pavilion so if this was taken in 2003 there's no way it's the Rainbow Tunnel.

I'm thinking there was something in Innoventions that had something like this which would jive with where in your photo list it fit. I am 99.9% sure that SSE never had an effect like that and I can't think of any other attraction that did. Definitely got me thinking!

EDIT: According to another site I found, there was a light tunnel, nearly identical to the rainbow tunnel at ImageWorks in Innoventions around 2003/2004. It had a more 'screen' effect rather than the clear tubing at Imagination which would explain the odd pattern to the light. Now if I could just find something to prove that.... LOL!

I thought RT first, too, but can't remember when it closed. I do think it was gone before a friend and I were there with her little boy and we went in 2002, so I figured it couldn't have been there in 2003.

Also, it isn't really between Innoventions and the monorail.

I know SSE had some color in there for a while, but I don't remember it being that colorful. I remember it being mostly black, but with cheapo colored bands that whooshed through. Didn't look like that.

Ya got me.

So far this is all I can find... a pic someone took in 2004 and labeled as being a rainbow tunnel in Innoventions! LOL!

Tada!!! See I had a vague recollection of that and was pretty sure but my issue is that around that time I was so unimpressed with Innoventions (ok I still am) that I never used my camera when we'd go in! LOL!

I was not minding my dates...

Found another picture - shows tunnel in the background. I have NO recollection of this either which speaks to the gaps I have between visits WDW from around 1998 thru 2007.

I was there then and don't remember it at all. But I have a sketchy memory. Now we know. :)
Once I saw the picture @NYwdwfan posted I suddenly had a flash back memory of standing in the tunnel and telling my then DBF that it was the rainbow tunnel from Imagination and they had moved it. I vividly (now) remember hugging the tunnel because I was so convinced it was. I have to explain however that was before my obsession with Extinct Disney so I didn't know any better. Don't judge me. LOL!

Looks like something I saw after eating some brownies once, maybe we had the same brownies? It was in 2002, I remember it from my TRIP. I also remember during that TRIP the a giant golf ball started rolling towards me and everyone else, I was yelling at everyone to get out of the way but they just stared at me with those big ears on their heads and continued to eat their cheese. Later I met a really friendly purple dragon.
