Where are the touchscreens?

Back in '93 when I visited WDW, I remember walking through Epcot and in one section, near Spaceship Earth, they had an area where people could make their dinner reservations through talking to an operator over a touchscreen monitor/video session. Since the inclusion of Innoventions to Epcot, this area is gone. Was this area moved or just done away with altogether?

It's gone. I've heard of that before, but now-a-days all you need to do is call 407-WDW-DINE. Plus it's considered old technology, video conferencing is nothing new to us.

Yankee Fan,
There is one computer in the room where you get off after Spaceship Earth. After exiting the ride it is on your left hand side and it is back by the pay phones. I just used it about 10 days ago, it works like a charm

There are touch screen internet phones in the major phone banks. Specifically, in the innoventions breezeways.

To make a reservation while in a park, find a pay phone and dial *88.

I so remember those! I thought they were pretty amazing!

DisneyCP2000 - Be nice - we had telephones way before video conferencing ...I thought the touchscreens were "magical"! Much more fun than dialing the phone!

I'm sorry, I hope I didn't come across as mean . I do know that they were very cool and one of a kind though. But do they still have those, where you acutally speak to a cast member to make a reservation?:veryconfu

It's all good...Peace! I don't think they have those anymore though ...the only time I ever remember seeing them was on my HM - that was 8/94. Hope I'm wrong though - they were really kewl!
