When Your Child Calls You Out On Your WDW Obsession...

I had to LOL today at dinner-my DD, out of the blue, says to me "Ever since we went to Disney World last year, you have been, like, obsessed with it." How could I not admit that it was true? She is usually the recipient of my many WDW factoids. Have any of you ever had your kids say something like this to you? Do you remember the first time that you realized that you were more excited about a WDW trip than your kids?

Before leaving for our trip last week, my father-in-law asked my son who was more excited about going to Disney, mommy or him, and he answered "mommy!"!!! My son was excited too, but he already realized at 4 years old that I was much more excited than him!!!

My son last went to WDW when he was around 10, and had no desire to return.. (so for many years we didn't go)
After he got older and went on to college, I started my annual trips to WDW, (sometimes 2 a year).

Of course, now they are getting past what I can afford, so this might be the last one coming soon. (Need to find a good Disney oriented therapist)

Oh Yes... DS knew of my Disney obsession from the moment we returned from our first trip. I couldnt get enough Disney and couldnt wait to get back to Disney. For years I told him ... As soon as you get old enough and move out I'm turning your bedroom into my Disney room...he went off to college and thats what I did. Now its not just my DS, but all my friends, our acquaintances, our customers and everyone that encounters me knows I'm the obsessed Disney guy in our area. I dont mind having the reputation hung on me
