When will Bambi be on DVD?

I was reviewing my Disney Classics checklist, and after the Lion King release this year I will only be lacking Aladdin, Cinderella, and Bambi. I have heard Aladdin and Cinderella will be coming soon, but I have heard nothing on Bambi. Anyone know when Disney plans to release this classic on DVD.

While we are at it, what happened to Dumbo II. Yeah, I know the whole sequel argument/debates... but this movie was advertised on the Dumbo DVD I believe and it seems to have vanished.

Bambi is scheduled to come out in 2004 or 2005 in a "Platinum" edition. Dumbo II has been mercifully delayed and hopefully cancelled.

But it seemed so near completion? It is coming right? I'd hate to think they put all that time and effort into a movie and then never release it, especially after the detailed sneak peek at the film that many customers had to of saw. I can understand the why should they have done it in the first place philosophy, but since it was so close to being complete, what happened?

Bambi a Platinum edition huh? Sounds like they have a lot of extras and special features to go along with it's DVD debut. Cool, I believe Bambi is the only Classic I have yet to see now so I'm interested very much.

Pigs is Pigs!

Dumbo II is (was) ready to go. However, the Walt Disney Company and/or Buena Vista Pictures is showing some good taste IMO. They need to do some MAJOR revisions on this, this....THING! Dumbo did a lot of good for the Disney company and I think they know they need to return the favor. Do you think a Snow White II would be a good idea?

:lol: No, nor Cinderella II, but since it was made I have it in my library of DVD's. I too dislike the sequel quick buck spree Disney has been on with very few exceptions like Return to neverland and Jungle Book II although many could argue they were still no classic like the firsts. I suppose Disney pulled yet another David Copperfield on us and will make this item disappear too.

Return To NeverLand was a great movie in its own right. If they can give that sort of quality to Dumbo II then the green light will be on. You and I seem to be on the same page.
