When upgraded AP discount benefits end?

one of the nice things disney did this past year was give all us AP holders some great discounts on food and merchandise (20% is pretty significant) I think they are due to end in September but have any insiders heard about extending the promotion? The 20% off along with no tax on the merchandise app has resulted in some really significant savings for my family.

I've only heard Sept. 30th.

A part of me thinks that with the AP discounts they offer some right now that it won't stick around past that. It was great to have it for this year at least.

In the same breath we were just offered the 13 month renewal for DVC APs. So maybe they want to keep it and thank those with APs since the yearly charge is insane now?

So nope haven't heard anything either lol

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
They end Sept 30th for all AP holders and no word of extending. It was a special promotion for the 45th Anniversary which the 45th Anniversary ends Sept 30th as well. ;)

Now DVC ours has no end date listed like on the AP info (we are both) has specifically listed. So hoping maybe they will keep 20% for DVC until the end of the year. Maybe we can only dream right! Lol Woukd love to save 20% again on merchandise when we go for our trip after Thanksgiving. ;)

They are not as consistently 20% for dining though and less than the AP locations. The fine print on the discounts when you view the printable version of Disney discounts is this "These offers may only be available to Members at various times and may or may not be renewed or extended past December 31, 2017."

Disney if you are listening we did far more sit downs this time due to the discounts we got from our AP. At least Spice Road is DVC discount. Adding in a few more discounts at the parks and resort dining would be nice too ;)

Yes I had read that too. And yeah the AP has more at the restaurants. I mainly use for for merchandise discounts. We always do a dining plan but use the available discounts for the extras we order usually. ;)

We don't do much of either so any discounts really do mean I am likely to spend more. Otherwise I am too cheap for it (yet plunk down money for DVC)

We've found that using the merchandise app for big cost items (collectibles, Pandora jewelry, etc) has saved us a lot because of 1. 20% off, 2. Free shipping over $74, and 3. No tax when buying in Michigan. The restaurant discounts helped us to not buy Tables in Wonderland for the first time in quite a few years.
