So I want to take a trip to Disney World, with my girlfriend next spring. I was thinking either late March, early April, late April, or May. I know that Easter is on the April 20, so that kind of complicates things. I do not want to go there when it is super crowded. As of now I am leaning towards May. Any other ideas?

I would say March or May is better than April. But, what ever you do, book early, so you can get a good deal.

I would probably say early May. Most kids are still in school and the spring break crowds will be gone. I would book as soon as you can after the new rates for next year come out (Usually around June or July). This gives you the chance to book what you want, make payments, and still add any discounts that become avaliable before you make your final payment 45 days in advance.

May is just under a year away. But it will be here before you know it! We just got back from Disney and it was wonderful! I can't beleive we won't be going back any time soon.
I understand not wanting to book until later. Just so you know, you only have to put $200 down when you book. You can make payments if you wish, but the final amount isn't due until 45 days in advance. If you wait too long, the hotels, especially the value ones, might fill up and they may not have avaliablity in what you're looking for. Just a little tip. Take it or leave it. I've always been able to find SOMETHING every time I've booked no matter how close the trip was. But if you have your heart set on something specific, you might want to book as soon as possible. Also, no matter when you decide to book your package, if you are planning on trying any of the more popular table service restaurants, be sure to call 180 days in advance to book those. Some places go quickly (Be Our Guest especially!).

Thanks for the advice and info! I am still leaning towards booking around Christmas, I'm sure the resorts I am looking at will have rooms available. I don't even have $200 yet to book, lol. I just got my first real adult job, and I am already looking forward to vacation. I know I will have the money to book by Christmas though. Also, when is a good day to leave for Disney? I am thinking about going during the mid week, since it is cheap to fly then.

Do NOT go during "spring break" if you can help it. My most recent trip was during this time, and it's certainly doable... But if given the choice, there are better options. Right before or after major holidays are often a good time. Basically, any time the kids are in school are also good. Keep an eye out for promotions during these times also (which are often an indicator of "slow" times in the parks).

Mid-week is perfect! The crowds are always larger on the weekends, so if you can have a few days before the weekend crowds arrive that will be perfect.
Congratulations on your first "adult" job. Vacations are always great to look forward to. Especially a Disney vacation!

Is the end of March still considered spring break time? same goes for early April. As I said before with Easter being late, that kind of screws things up.
I thought mid-week would be a good time to go. Like I said cheaper to fly. I have been to Disney, it's just been a long time. And thank you, by the way. I am looking forward to a vacation and going without my parents, haha.

Do not go the last two weeks of March or the first week of April. I had said that I would never do Spring Break again, but it was the only time one of our party could go. Never again, unless it's free.

Colleges and some schools usually have spring break in March (mine was always the first week of March while I was in college) and primary-highschool usually have their spring breaks in April (At least from my expierence). So really, the whole month of March and April can be considered spring break. With Easter being so late in April next year, I would say that will definitely be the case. I would try either early March or wait until May if you are trying to avoid crowds.

We went ten days after Easter Sunday in 2012, which placed our flight mid-week and helped us avoid most of the holiday crowds. I think we used FastPass only twice throughout our six-day trip. (In other words, relatively low crowds.)

Either the first week of march or the last week of April, and the first 2 weeks of may are all good time to go with minimal crowds and wait times!
