When to go in Oct. 2003??

We are planning our trip for October 2003. Which week will be least crowded and most fun? Choices are Oct. 16-23 or 23-30.:sohappy:

I would say the farthest away from Halloween and September, unless you are aiming at the Halloween festivities.

Definitely stay away from Halloween dates. If you wanted to wait till November, the week before Thanksgiving is the least crowded. Didn't have to wait in any lines for rides!! Just walked right on. Also, priority seating wasn't needed. We asked a few cast members why it was so empty...they said it is always like this the week before Thanksgiving. Would continue to go every year at this time!!:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

My husband and I usually go around the 24th or so and leave on the 29th or 30th. The weather has always been great and we have walked on everything but Test track everytime. If you have kids or enjoy seeing them dressed up my boss said Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party was great. I have never had a probelm getting priority seating or anything at the end of October. I was last at WDW in the first two weeks of Oct '01 and the weather was very good. High 70's most of the time. It can get a bit cool in the water parks if there's a breeze, but lines for the rides in MK, etc. were very short. I don't know how many people didn't go to WDW after 9/11 and if the low attendance can be partially atributed to that?

Hiya Chi-girl. :wave: Welcome to WDWMagic. I'd suggest Oct. 16-23. The closer you get to Halloween the busier it will be, but really either week is fine. Have fun planning.

The first week of Oct. was great this year, up until Columbus Day. The last week is always crazed due to Halloween.

Either week is great ! Personally i like the Halloween party and also the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot is at this time of the year , i think it starts around the 17 of Oct each year and lasts for a month ! I always go the last week of October, crowds aren't too bad and usually the" Superstar Soap week end " is the following week along with a lot of business conventions so the week before is pretty good !
