When to Buy Tickets?

We will be heading out to Disneyland early April 2009 (not a great time due to crowds but it's still Disney!). Any advice on the best time to buy tickets. We will be looking at a 4 day multi-pass although we may only get chance to use three of these days.

I can buy the tickets online now for $164 per adult (using the 'Everyone gets in for Kids prices' offer) which seems like a pretty good deal but I have heard that you can get discount tickets at a lot of the local hotels - will these be a better price?

Will 4 days at this time of year be enough (my 4 days does span a weekend too)? We will be heading a few miles north for a further 4 days afterwards so there is always a chance of fitting in another day if necessary.

Thanks

This may not be the best justification, but I'd say buy the tickets now online if you think it looks reasonable. You never know when there will be another ticket price hike, so better to lock in now. Local hotel deals on tickets have always been a bit shady to me, so the online route ASAP would be what I'd personally go with.

I don't know for sure but I would bet that they never have.

thanks for the info everyone - looks like I'll be buying those tickets in the next couple of days!

Anybody have knowledge of any ticket deals? It seems that Disneyland runs the special "adults get the kids price" for online purchases if you use the tickets in the first three months of the calendar year (January-March) each year. I am going in August 2009. My gut tells me there probably aren't any similar type ticket deals for the summer but was curious if anyone had any knowledge on this? Thanks in advance.

I'll probably just take advantage of the regular online discount and buy the tickets at some point.
