If you were planning on spending one night at the Pacific Royal one night in mid December 2012, when would you book it? Now to hold the spot, or when you got closer to maybe find some discounts on Expedia or elsewhere? How long should I wait?

Before Christmas week you are probably safe waiting until spring; if it was during Christmas week I'd say book now.
