When is it too early to celebrate a birthday at WDW? My daughter will be turning 5 Jan 2. Our trip is planned for Dec 4 th. is it really stretching it if we celebrate her birthday a month early?

It's never too late or too early to celebrate someone's birthday at WDW. I was still celebrating my birthday when I went to Disneyland in August (My birthday is June 5th); I used my WDW happy birthday button and everything. Have fun and don't worry about it!

I think it is too long. A month is an eternity at the age of five. Anything before Christmas will seem like part of another world by Jan 2.

Nah, it will be fun! Tell your daughter that Mickey wants to celebrate with her and as some Disney magic they are going to fast forward a month....

Every time I go with a bunch of friends, we pick the person who's birthday is closest to the time and we 'celebrate' the whole trip. Before anyone jumps on me for getting free things, we don't get free desserts or anything, we just toast to that person and have a bit of fun with it

My Daughter's 21st Birthday is in May, we are going Nov 2015 yes we will be celebrating her birthday while at WDW. We cant go during may due to she's still in school. Going during the summer is out of the questions because of her Special Needs and the heat would make her so sick we would end up staying in the hotel room all day long. So we are going, we are celebrating her birthday and we are going to let her have a blast. It's not like we do this every year, if someone asks we will explain why we are celebrating it late and deal with it. We are there to have fun.

Edit: my point is your going to have fun, go celebrate she's going to be 5 and I am sure she'll love it.

It would be wrong if you didn't celebrate your daughter's birthday on your December 4th trip!

Hope your family has a great trip. We went at that same time last year and it was awesome.

If your trip is part of your celebration, whatever it may be (birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc.) then you should celebrate that on your trip. Happy celebrating :D

I think it's a great idea to celebrate her birthday early so that will be the only thing going on. I have a friend with a birthday December 29 and she complains that her birthday gets lost in all the Christmas and New Year rush. My birthday is April 4th and a lot of time it is around Easter and as a kid that wasn't any fun. I say celebrate early and make it special.

Although I say go for it I will say that I find this so wacky when it comes to disney! People do it all the time. When it was out son's birthday at disney (his actual day) all of the CMs were so surprised that it was his real birthday.
